Since childhood, Alma has been interested in birds. Learning first about them through their elders shared lore of the spirits of our ancestors visiting us through the sightings of specific birds. Alma has carried that knowledge into observing the behaviors and patterns of birds. They dedicate much of their time to translating their observations into useable wisdom.
Alma leads interactive community bird walks as a way of connecting people to the natural world. Along the way, they share not only observations about bird behavior but also insights into the landscapes, plants, and ecosystems that influence these behaviors. From quiet forests to bustling city centers, Alma invites participants to experience how deeply intertwined all living beings truly are.
